CII EXIM AWARD FOR BUSINESS EXCELLENCE - WINNERS CONFERENCE – Feb. 11, 2020

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Institute of Quality organized a Conference for the Winner of CII EXIM award for Business Excellence 2019 i.e. Godrej & Boyce – Appliances Division, to share with the Corporate community their professional journey to attain Business Excellence.

The event was hosted by the Supply Chain Management Centre (SCMC), a Centre of Excellence at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) on Tuesday February 11, 2020.

There were around 50 delegates present at the Conference, invited by CII Institute of Quality and drawn from various industry sectors i.e. ABB , Ace Designers – Foundry Division, Bosch Rexroth, Carborundum Universal, J K Fenner, L&T Technology, Nefab, Lsquare Eco-Products, Salem Gopi Hospital, Sartorius Stedim, SEG Automotive, SLN Technologies, Supreem Pharmaceuticals, Surin Automotive, Tech Auto, BEL, EXIM Bank, Ramaiah Institute of Management, XIME, MSRIM, ISBR etc. 

Professor Jitamitra Desai, Chairperson-SCMC from the Decision Sciences (DS) area, welcomed the delegates and briefed the audience about the vision, mission, mandate and activities of SCMC.

Mr. M S Srinivasan, Sr. Consultant – Business Excellence CII Institute of Quality, briefed the audience about the rationale, attributes and guiding principles of the CII EXIM Award for Business Excellence. 

The 2019 winner of the award Godrej & Boyce – Appliances Division, represented by Mr. Krishna K Saraf, AVP & Head Business Excellence and Mr. Kamal Nandi, Business Head & EVP, presented their success story and how they created a role model organization, that enabled them win the award.

Professor Haritha Saranga, Chairperson-Fellow Programme in Management from the Production & Operations Management (POM) area, shared her thoughts with the CII team on areas of association with SCMC @ IIMB, to facilitate a dialogue with the Corporate community and assist them in attaining Business Excellence.

Mr. K R Shivakumar, Head & Principal Counsellor Business Excellence CII Institute of Quality, proposed the vote of thanks.

The Conference was very interactive and concluded with High-Tea, over a networking session.
