Dr Kathy Rupar-Wang, Assistant Professor, Georgia Institute of Technology, was the speaker for the fourth webinar organized by IIM Bangalore’s Behavioural Sciences Lab on 15 January (Friday) 2021, at 6:30 pm. Her research focuses on judgment and decision-making in financial accounting contexts. Her work has been published in The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Journal of Behavioral Finance.

Frank ’32 Professor of Marketing, Private Enterprise & Management & Founder-Director of the Yale China India Insights Program Yale School of Management, Editor-in-Chief of Marketing Science) gave a talk on “Lookalike Targeting on Facebook: Seed Quality Versus Match Accuracy”. He also described the process of publishing in the Marketing Science journal.

Sachin Gupta (Henrietta Johnson Louis Professor of Management, SC Johnson College of Business, Cornell University; Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Marketing Research) presented his research on “Bayesian Synthetic Control Methods (BSCMs): A new Bayesian synthetic control framework to overcome limitations of extant synthetic control methods”. He also answered questions related to publishing in the Journal of Marketing Research, and other top-tier journals in marketing.
