The Lab is exclusively funded by its corporate partners. The corporate partners assist the lab in several ways.

Funding: The corporate partner provides financial support to the lab, which is used to hire researchers, purchase software and licences, organise conferences and workshops, and conduct research projects.

Expertise: The corporate partner brings expertise in the supply chain and logistics industries, which can help the lab better understand the needs and challenges of that industry. This helps the lab develop more relevant research projects and programmes. 

Collaboration: The corporate partner collaborates with the lab on joint research projects, which can lead to new discoveries and innovations. The corporate partners help the lab build relationships with other companies and organisations in the sustainability domain. 

Access to resources: The corporate partner can provide access to resources that are not available to the academic institution, such as industry insights and specialised knowledge. 

Knowledge transfer: The corporate partner transfers knowledge and skills to the academic institution, which can enhance the institution's capabilities and expertise.

 

Transport Corporation of India Ltd. (TCI)

TCI has been the first partner to the lab and has been instrumental in setting up the lab. TCI has agreed to support the lab for a minimum of ten years. This lab has been part of their initiative, "Logistics with Purpose.".

Transport Corporation of India Ltd. (TCI Group), with revenues of over Rs. 5,000 crores, is India’s leading integrated multimodal logistics and supply chain solutions provider. As "Leaders in Logistics", TCI continuously strives to improve existing systems, processes, and productivity. With expertise spanning over six decades and infrastructure comprising an extensive network of 1500+ company-owned offices, 13 million square feet of warehousing space, and a strong team of 5500+ employees, TCI has expanded boundaries to offer sustainable, customised, and technology-enabled logistics solutions to almost all industries in both India and the SAARC region. Thereby, it represents nearly 2.5% of India’s GDP by value.

Herbalife is a global nutrition company that markets and sells dietary supplements and personal care products. Herbalife India is a subsidiary of Herbalife Nutrition, operating in India since 1999. The company offers a range of products including protein shakes, weight loss supplements, energy drinks, and multivitamins. Herbalife India has a strong distribution network with over 9,000 independent distributors across the country. The company is committed to promoting healthy and active lifestyles through its products and programs. Herbalife India also supports several social initiatives such as providing nutrition education to underprivileged children and promoting entrepreneurship among women.

Herbalife India has agreed to partner with the lab for a period of three years.
