The Director was speaking at the felicitation programme for PGP students, who graduated in 2020. The programme was held on campus today and saw participation from about 330 former students.
Prof. RT Krishnan also highlighted some of the recent achievements of the faculty, students, alumni and the Centres of Excellence at IIMB. Next year is the golden jubilee year for IIMB, so we welcome you to involve yourselves in the celebrations in every possible way”.
In his message, Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairperson, Board of Governors, IIM Bangalore, said that the pandemic has taught the world resilience and the power of resilience, coupled with being creative, imaginative, thinking originally and unconventionally, being respectful, embracing the unknown and pushing the boundaries, will help the management graduates adapt to critical situations and provide solutions to the society's new challenges.
“When the pandemic hit the world, no one had a clue how to manage it. But in less than few weeks everything started happening. Perhaps many of you have not realized that these are historical times, and each of you in your own unique way, have made history. But this is not the end, rather the beginning of a new, perhaps even more exciting and unpredictable journey, that will lead you to the next step. We must use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges, rather they cherish and use them wisely and well.”
