EPGP Co’23 – Competitions and Awards

• IIMB EPGP Co’23 students shine in Eximus – IIM B’s Entrepreneurship Summit one of the most celebrated festivals hosted in the Indian B-school community. The event witnessed participants from premier B-Schools of the country.
  Students from current cohort – 
  Varsha Ramesh, Jayant Yadav, Adarsh Unny bagged the Winner position in Business plan competition - Navudyog
  Harshad Bhoir & Kartik Mittal were adjudged as Runners in Business plan competition - Critter Crusade
  Adarsh Unny stood as Runner-up in New Venture Pitch - Cinemania.
• IIMB EPGP Team won HR case competition – AdHRit, organised by IIT Madras as a part of their annual B-school summit. The IIMB team comprised Varsha Ramesh, K.Arun Kumar and Vishnu Prakash Kandaswamy. There were 256 teams participating in the contest.
• IIMB EPGP Co’23 students Varsha Ramesh and K.  Arun Kumar win ‘Throne’ – National level HR Case Competition organized by Symbiosis Institute of International Management, Pune.
• IIMB EPGP Team – comprised of Akshat Agarwala, Adarsh Unny, and Akriti Ghai, won Mergers & Acquisitions case competition ‘Gathbandhan’ organized by IIM Ahmedabad as a part of prestigious RedBricks Summit – Annual business case competition.
• IIMB EPGP Co’23 student Adarsh Unny won the strategy case competition – ‘The Board Room’ organized by IIM Calcutta as a part of annual event – 7 Lakes Fest.
• IIMB EPGP Team – comprised of Adarsh Unny, Rigved Marathe, and Arjit Batta has been declared the first runner-up in ‘Masterplan – Idea Central’ Business plan competition organized by IIM Ahmedabad as a part of prestigious RedBricks Summit – Annual business case competition.
• IIMB EPGP Team, comprised of Adarsh Unny, Ann George, and Jayant Yadav, has been declared the first runner-up in Ad-Making competition organized by IIM Calcutta as a part of annual event – 7 Lakes Fest.
• IIMB EPGP Team, comprised of Bibin Kumar, Sucheta Kar and Gaurav Kumar, has been declared the first runner-up in ‘Prodify’, a Product Management case competition organized by IIM Lucknow. There were 523 teams participating in the contest.
• IIMB EPGP Team, comprised of Jananee Kosalai, Anshul Singh, Vishnu Prakash Kandaswamy, has been declared the first runner-up in ‘ReEnvision – Digital Transformation Case competition’ organized by XLRI – Pune.
• IIMB EPGP Team – Adarsh Unny and Ann George finished in Top 5 teams of Enigmatic – A national level marketing competition organized by Backlash Model United Nations Conference. 1900 teams participated in the conference. The team won a project sponsored by Model United Nations(MUN) Organization.
• IIMB EPGP Team – Adarsh Srivastava and Pankaj Jindal won the National Business Quiz organized by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bangalore.
• IIMB EPGP Co’23 student Yugesh Yerraguntla has been declared as second runner-up in E-Impetus, Product strategy and management case competition organized by IIM Indore.
• IIMB EPGP Team, comprised of Kriti Gupta and Nikhil Pranav, has been declared the second runner-up in Web 3.0 case chain competition organized by IIM Ahmedabad as a part of prestigious RedBricks Summit – Annual business case competition.

EPGP Class of 2023 – Achieve 100% Placement

The 2022-23 batch of the one-year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) at IIM Bangalore recorded 100 per cent placement well before the convocation. Over 90 per cent of the batch was placed within three days of Placement Week in November 2022 itself and the rest of the students were placed in a rolling recruitment process.

Business Conclave 2022

EPGP Co’ 2023 – Seminar Series

The EPGP at IIMB aims to nurture and empower the next generation of leaders. The student-driven seminar series is one of our key initiatives towards this goal. The seminars are designed to drive learning outside the classroom and encourage interactions with industry leaders and individuals from all walks of life. Speakers of repute, from recent start-ups to established organizations, address the EPGP students at IIMB during these sessions. This student-driven initiative ensures that speakers are from diverse backgrounds such as FinTech, Consulting, Bio-Technology, Human Resources, Start-up & Venture Capital, Finance, and more.

EPGP 2023 – Industry Insights

EPGP Class of 2022-23 organized Industry Insights with the intent to connect the current batch to the stalwarts of the industry. These Industry Insights helped students to understand latest happenings of industry. The talks are also organized to bolster industry-academia engagement and collaboration.

EPGP Industry Connect

EGPG Placement Committee along with Career Development Services (CDS) organized Industry Connect sessions to foster the connection between IIM Bangalore’s One-Year Full-Time MBA – EPGP and the Industry. As a part of Industry Connect series, the placement committee organized 3 mega events where several business leaders from the industry, representing various diverse companies attended the one-day events in the campus. Leaders and academia participants engaged in discussions focused on driving mutually beneficial synergies.

PRAYAAS

“It’s not about perfection, it’s about effort. And when you put in that effort every single day, that’s when transformation happens. That’s how change occurs.” This is what Prayaas, the EPGP social initiative committee, truly believes. Prayaas is a community designed to create leaders who are passionate about developing a world of equal opportunities for all.

Prayaas leverages the diverse strengths of the cohort to create skill-based volunteering opportunities that would make a sustainable and meaningful impact for social start-ups and NGOs.

• PRAYAAS DAY 2023 

Theme: Empowering leaders of tomorrow: One child at a time 

Date: 19th February 2023

Prayaas Day is organized in collaboration with the students of the school’s two-year MBA for working professionals – PGPEM. In line with the theme, the Prayaas team hosted children from care homes in Bangalore, conducted career guidance sessions and organized events to engage the children and help them bond with the IIMB student community.

• KRITAGYA

An event to express gratitude towards the horticulture staff of IIMB. The team felicitated green warriors by presenting a token of appreciation and gratitude. Prayaas team on behalf of EPGP Co’23 organized Kritagya to thank the horticulture staff by distributing Umbrellas and daily needs.

• Sustainability Workshop by Sustainability Taskforce of IIMB

A sustainability workshop was organized by Prayaas Committee to all the student community. The session included a classroom interaction on the subject matter followed by a practical session at the segregation facility on the campus of IIM Bangalore

• PRAYAAS – MENTOR TOGETHER

Prayaas team in collaboration with Mentor Together planned to organized Mentorship sessions where students from current batch will act as mentors to the underprivileged children from shelter homes.

• PRAYAAS – FUND RISING INITIATIVE

On the occasion of PRAYAAS DAY, PRAYAAS Committee of EPGP 22-23 started a weeklong Fund rising initiative with the main aim to provide needs for the shelter home – Sneh Ghar (Need Base India) located in Hosur Road Bangalore. 

SPARSH DAY 2023

The Office of the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and the EPGP Student Alumni Committee hosted ‘Sparsh’, the annual EPGP alumni meet, on 18th February 2023. Sparsh is a day-long networking event that keeps EPGP alumni connected to each other and to the institute.

EPGP’s Alumni Connect event organized by EPGP class of 2022-23 saw a great participation by EPGP alumni. The one-day event included a Panel Discussion on topic Career Progression and Work-Life Balance led by Sukanya Roy, Head GCC & BPM, NASSCOM, Rajat Mathur, Partner, BCG, and Amit Chhabra, Head of Sales, Shell India, and moderated by Prof. Abhoy Ojha, faculty in the OB& HRM area at IIMB.

The event also had a Guest speaker session by Prof. R. Narayanaswamy, former faculty in the Finance and Accounting area at IIMB, on topic Corporate Governance. 

Alumni also had a campus tour to relive the good times. The current class organized sports and games for alumni followed by a cultural event and gala dinner.
