First Annual International Conference (2006)

The theme of the conference was 'Promoting Effective Institutions'

CPP’s First Annual International Conference was held from 23-25 September 2005 and the theme of this first conference was "Policy in Practice: Designing and Promoting Effective Institutions". There were 30 sessions and some of the sub-them­es were Urban Planning, Urban Finance, Governance and Civil Societies, PPP and Infrastructure, and PPP in sectors like Health, Water, Utilities, etc. There were separate tracks on Urban Transport and Health Care. This was the first in a planned series of annual conferences on public policy and management that brought together over 100 participants with a large number of papers and panels. The CPP received over 160 papers from across the world (from 18 countries) and out of this, 115 papers were presented.
