Second Annual International Conference (2007)

The Second Annual International Conference on Public Policy and Management was held from 12-14 April 2007 with over 120 participants who explored the theme: "Policy in Practice: Effective Policies for Enhancing Rural Livelihood Opportunities". The Sub-Themes of the Conference were: The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA), Livelihood Opportunities through Financial Inclusion and other Public Policy Issues. The key speakers for this conference were Mr Samuel Paul, former director of IIM Ahmedabad, Ms Aruna Roy, founder of Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS), and Ms Usha Thorat, Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. This conference saw four invited papers from experts, 23 full papers and 22 presentations.
