Manoj Mohanan

Prof. Manoj Mohanan is an applied microeconomist working on topics in health and development, with a focus on health policy. His research has examined a wide range of topics including incentive contracts, measurement of provider quality and performance, social franchising, and public private partnerships. His ongoing research includes topics in governance such as social accountability / monitoring, as well as studies of networks and beliefs in health-related behavior. Manoj received his PhD (Harvard) in 2009.
Sanchari Roy
Sanchari Roy (sanchari.roy@kcl.ac.uk) is Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Development Economics at King’s College London, UK. Her main area of research is development economics, with special focus on gender issues, public service delivery and mental health. Sanchari’s research has been published in the Economic Journal, Journal of Development Economics, Oxford Review of Economic Policy etc. Her work has received press coverage in New York Times, BBC, The Economist, NDTV, The Hindu, Deccan Herald etc. In addition, she has also written on issues pertaining to the Indian economy in newspapers like The Guardian as well as in magazines like The Outlook and Economic and Political Weekly. Sanchari completed her undergraduate degree in Economics at Presidency College, Calcutta, Masters in Economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and PhD in Economics at London School of Economics. Prior to joining King’s College, Sanchari taught at the University of Warwick and the University of Sussex.
Sanchari is on leave from King’s for the academic year 2019-20, and visiting IIM Bangalore during this time. She will be on campus most Fridays.
