General Programme Information

1.  How is the EPGP different from the PGP?

Although both are full-time residential programmes leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA), the EPGP is a one-year programme while the PGP is for two years. The EPGP is designed specifically for professionals with Minimum 5 years (and preferably less than 12 years) of work experience after completion of graduation. The programme provides a foundation in key management concepts and disciplines and builds on students' existing experience to prepare them for senior management positions. The International Immersion Module gives students an opportunity to broaden learning and deepen knowledge about an increasingly globalized economic environment.

2.  What degree is offered at the end of the programme?

The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) is a master’s level programme, leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA).

3.  Will graduates be considered IIMB alumni?

Yes.

4.  Can we do this course in distance mode?

No.

5.  Is the international component optional?

No, it is compulsory.

Admission Process

1.  What are the admission criteria?

2.  Is there a separate admission process for sponsored candidates?

No

3.  Is there any relaxation of admission criteria for PhD holders?

No

4.  Is GMAT/GRE compulsory for admission?

Yes, a valid GMAT/GRE is mandatory. You must mention either your GMAT or GRE score when submitting the application.

5.  Is CAT considered for admission?

No

6.  Is online GMAT/GRE score accepted?

Online GMAT/GRE scores are not accepted for EPGP 2024-25 batch admission.

7.  What is the average GMAT score?

There is no minimum GMAT score. However, GMAT scores are looked at in relation to the applicants' pool. Last year's average GMAT score of the batch was about 697.

8.  What is the validity period for the GMAT/GRE score?

The GMAT/GRE score should be valid (within 5 years) as on the date of application submission in each round.

9.  What is the code for the programme to take the GMAT/GRE?

The code for GMAT is Q9H-KK-84 and GRE is 1675. Use this code to have your score reported directly to IIMB. This requirement is mandatory.

10.  Can work experience be a replacement for GMAT/GRE score?

No

11.  I am a US citizen. Do I qualify to apply?

Yes

12.  What do you mean by ‘Proficiency in English’? How do you judge it?

Indian nationals need not take the TOEFL. However, TOEFL is required of applicants who have studied in countries where the language of instruction is not English.

13.  By when should I have five years of work experience?

By March 31, 2024

14.  Can the reference letters be sent by mail?

No, you must provide updated contact information of your referees in the on-line application, who must submit the reference letters directly to IIMB online. Your referee will receive an email containing the link to submit the reference. A passcode will also be sent through a separate email to the referee. The referees must submit the references online using the reference link provided on or before the last date of application.

15.  By when should reference letters reach IIMB?

Reference section is a part of your online application. Reference letters must be submitted by the referees before the application due date of the respective rounds.

Applications cannot be submitted until reference letters are received online. Since your referees may take time to submit reference letters provide the contact information of the referees as soon as possible.

16.  When can I expect to get the final admission offer?

The admission offers will be sent by email to the successful candidates by September 15, 2023 for Round 1 Admissions and November 10, 2023 for Round 2 Admissions and

January 05, 2023 for Round 3. (Tentative)

17.  I have submitted the reference details, referees have not received the link and passcode

Interview Process

1.  When will interviews be held?

The Interviews will be held for Round 1 on August 26 and 27, 2023 , Round 2 on October 28 and 29, 2023 and Round 3 on December 16 and 17, 2023 (Tentative).

2. Where are the interviews held?

Interviews will be held in Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata . Online interviews will be arranged for applicants who are outside India during the above Interview dates.

Interview process for any/all rounds may be conducted online if there is a disruption due to pandemic.

3. What will be the mode of interview if I am overseas during the interview period?

Interviews may be conducted via video conference provided authorization and arrangements have been confirmed with the EPGP admissions office.
