The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore launched a certificate programme in Economics and Data Science (ECODS) for students in grade XII from 27th to 30th April 2026. From the large number of applicants, 68 participants were selected for the inaugural batch from across India and from various boards.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore successfully hosted the 11th and 12th cohorts of its annual flagship program, the Doctoral Consortium on Teaching.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) conducted an ‘Academic Leadership Programme’, supported by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, from 1st to 5th December 2025, at the Institute campus. The ALP incorporated sessions on various aspects of leadership, personal and institutional vision building, strategy, digital transformation, legal and sustainable integration, stakeholder management, decision-making, and constraint management.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIMB hosted the fourth cohort of the ‘Nurturing Future Leadership Programme’ under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The programme, held from the 25 to 29 of August 2025, saw a rich representation of senior faculty from Institutes of National Importance (INIs), central and state government universities, as well as private universities. The residential programme held at the IIMB campus immersed participants in an environment of sharing of best practices, knowledge transfer and training.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore hosted the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP) from March 8–13, 2025, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI). The cohort comprised Vice Chancellors from various centrally- and state-funded universities and Directors of Institutes of National Importance.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) hosted the fourth cohort of the immersive Nurturing Future Leadership Programme (NFLP) from August 25 to 29, 2025. The programme was supported by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore, which aims to disseminate a robust understanding of evolving best practices in teaching and learning, recently conducted a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Project Management and Digital Marketing from 27 to 31 January, 2025.

The cohort comprised 67 senior doctoral scholars from IIM Bangalore and other institutes including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Mumbai, IIM Trichy, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IRM Anand, XLRI Jamshedpur, ISB Hyderabad, MAHE Manipal, University of Hyderabad, Goa Institute of Management (GIM), Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship JNU, and Krea University.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) conducted the 9th edition of the Doctoral Consortium on Teaching from 6th to 10th January 2025. The cohort for the programme comprised 23 final year doctoral scholars from various institutes like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Mumbai, IIM Tiruchirappalli, IIT Madras, Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), ISB Hyderabad, MAHE Manipal and the University of Hyderabad, along with nine senior doctoral scholars from IIM Bangalore.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIMB hosted the 7th and the 8th editions of the annual five-day Doctoral Consortium on Teaching. The 7th edition took place from January 15 to 19, while the 8th edition took place from February 5 to 9.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIMB hosted the Nurturing Future Leadership Program from September 16 to 20, under the aegis of Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore hosted an exposure visit for school principals in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on August 19 and 20, 2024. The visit was engineered in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s pioneering initiative to foster the synergies between schools and higher education institutions (HEIs). It aimed at providing the principals with an exposure to interactive learning, access to different environments, latest trends & practices at the workplace, and advanced processes & techniques used by HEIs across the country.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore hosted an exposure visit for school principals in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on August 19 and 20, 2024.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIMB hosted a one-day programme on Incorporating Environmental Sustainability into School Curriculum on May 25, 2024. In all, 51 participants attended the programme.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore hosted the ‘Workshop for Developing Business Case Studies’, from 4th to 6th October 2023, as part of the Golden Jubilee activities of the institute. The event was supported by Wipro Foundation’s sustainability wing.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore hosted the second Doctoral Consortium on Teaching from 30th January to 2nd February 2023. The batch comprised 21 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students, who are in their concluding stages of Doctoral study, from 13 management institutes and departments across India, which include: IIM Indore, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kashipur, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Udaipur, ISB Hyderabad, EDII Ahmedabad, IIT Ranchi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and XLRI Jamshedpur. Four PhD students from IIM Bangalore also participated in the conference.

The talk was delivered by Dr. Venkat Ramaswamy, Professor of Marketing, Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The event was attended by students and faculty members, including Prof. Rishikesha Krishnan, the Director of IIMB.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore hosted an exposure visit for school principals in collaboration with CBSE on July 27 and 28, 2023. The visit was the outcome of an a pathbreaking initiative of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to establish and enhance connections between the school and higher education systems.
