EPHP Conference 2026 to convene national dialogue on building future-focused health systems at IIM Bangalore
Fifth edition of ‘Evidence to Public Health Policy’ to be held from 8th to 10th June
6 May, 2026, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore will host the fifth edition of the national conference on Bringing Evidence to Public Health Policy (EPHP 2026) from 8–10 June 2026, bringing together leading researchers, practitioners and policymakers in public health. Experts will deliberate on the disruptive innovation and mounting pressures shaping the future of health systems, under the theme ‘Future-Focused Health Systems in a Changing Context’.
The theme for the year’s conference draws itself from the Health Systems Research Symposium 2026 to be held in Dubai later this year, but shifts the lens to regional and national priorities.
Prof. Arnab Mukherji, Professor of Public Policy and Chairperson of the PGPPM programme at IIMB, serves as the co-organizer of the conference.
EPHP is designed to surface grounded insights from the Asia Pacific context, where health systems are navigating overlapping pressures such as climate events, pandemics, digital transitions and geopolitical shifts that are often layered upon deeper structural inequities.
This fifth edition is being organized by the T.T. Narasimhan School of Advanced Studies at the Institute of Public Health Bengaluru (IPH Bengaluru), in partnership with Health Systems Global (Asia Pacific Region), The George Institute for Global Health, IIM Bangalore, and the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp.
EPHP 2026 seeks to extend conversations beyond resilience as a response framework. The conference foregrounds the need for adaptive, forward-looking approaches to system transformation, grounded in local knowledge and institutional realities. The four sub-themes of the conference span governance and diplomacy in a fractured global order, the role of plural actors and partnerships, the interplay of digital platforms and public participation, and the intersection of human and ecological concerns, offering an integrated view of how such transformation may be pursued.

IIMB to host sixth edition of healthcare leadership summit Ayusmat 2026
The annual conference will be organized by the GMHE alumni network
29 May, 2026, Bengaluru: Ayusmat 2026, the sixth edition of the healthcare leadership summit will be hosted by the alumni network of the General Management Programme for Healthcare Executives (GMHE) programme, an Executive Education Programme (EEP) offered by IIM Bangalore, on 04 July 2026.
The theme for Ayusmat 2026, ‘Reimagining Healthcare Systems for the Next Billion’, will focus on Systems, Scale, and Sustainability. The conference is expected to convene over 500 delegates from across the healthcare ecosystem for a day of dialogue, collaboration, and systems-level thinking.
As India’s healthcare ecosystem undergoes rapid transformation, the summit seeks to address one central challenge: how healthcare can move from fragmented excellence to coordinated system performance. Designed as an intensive, hands-on learning experience, the programme will introduce participants to the Bloomberg Terminal, one of the world's most widely used platforms for financial data, market intelligence and investment research. The workshop aims to equip participants with practical skills in navigating Bloomberg's extensive database and applying its tools for financial analysis, market research and data-driven decision-making.
The Bloomberg Terminal is considered an industry standard across financial services, investment banking, asset management, consulting, and research. At IIM Bangalore, it serves as a key resource for students, faculty and researchers engaged in academic research, financial market analysis, and investment-related studies.
The workshop is delivered through a guided learning format that combines conceptual understanding with hands-on terminal training. Participants will gain exposure to Bloomberg's capabilities across asset classes and learn how to access, interpret and analyse financial information in real-world contexts.

Centre for Teaching & Learning to conduct Cohort VI of Nurturing Future Leadership Program from 27th to 31st July 2026
Supported by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the NFLP is aimed at helping faculty members in the early stages of their careers become effective academic leaders
4 June, 2026, Bengaluru: The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) will conduct Cohort VI of the Nurturing Future Leadership Program (NFLP), supported by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, from 27th to 31st July 2026 at the IIMB (Bannerghatta Road) campus.
Programme objective and structure
The five-day residential programme is aimed at assisting and guiding faculty members in the early stages of their careers to emerge as effective academic leaders. The sessions will cover diverse facets of effective leadership, such as leadership and team building, institutional legal aspects, building centres of excellence in academia, fostering equity and inclusivity, communicating for ROI, strategic planning, creating a sustainable society, and digital learning, among other relevant topics. These will help equip the participants with skills in decision-making, problem-solving, shared governance and institutional benchmarking.
There will be five sessions per day, to be conducted by senior IIMB faculty using lectures (including video-based), in-class activities, case discussions and peer learning sessions. To foster holistic growth, the programme will also include components on yoga, mindfulness and cultural immersion. On successful completion of the programme, the candidates will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Eligibility criteria
Participants must be full-time faculty at centrally funded institutes, state public universities/institutes and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Please note that as per the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education, the first preference will be given to faculty members from Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) for about 50 percent of the total number of seats. The second line of preference will be given to faculty from the state public universities and about two to four seats will go to faculty from private HEIs.

Eligible faculty members from recognized institutions should be duly nominated by the Directors/Vice Chancellors/Heads of the Institution and should upload the nomination letter on the MMTTC portal (https://mmc.ugc.ac.in/).

From building stronger primary healthcare systems and reducing dependence on external medical supply chains to empowering MSMEs, enhancing agricultural value chains, deepening digital public infrastructure, improving labour markets, and enabling climate-resilient development, the pursuit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ spans diverse and critical themes. The call for papers invites theoretical, empirical, and case-study-based research addressing these issues and others, contributing to a growing body of knowledge that explores how self-reliance can be advanced across India’s economic and social landscape. Call for Submissions for the Eighteenth IMR Doctoral Conference to be held on 22–23 January 2027
IIMB invites PhD paper submissions from May 4
04 May, 2026, Bangalore: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), through IIMB Management Review (IMR) and the Office of the Doctoral Programme, announces the eighteenth edition of the IMR Doctoral Conference (IMRDC 2027), scheduled to be held on 22 and 23 January 2027 at the IIMB campus. The conference invites full paper submissions from doctoral students in management from India and around the world.
Over the years, IMRDC has evolved into a premier doctoral colloquium in Management Sciences, known for fostering high-quality academic exchange and collaboration. A distinctive feature of the conference is its “one exclusive discussant per paper” format, which enables participants to receive detailed, constructive feedback from leading faculty, strengthening the rigour and contribution of their research.
The conference is open to doctoral scholars from India and abroad across all major disciplines in Management, including Decision Sciences, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour & Human Resources Management, Production & Operations Management, Public Policy, and Strategy.
Submissions will undergo a rigorous multi-stage review process conducted by a Faculty Review Committee. Papers shortlisted through this process will be invited for presentation at the conference and will be assigned expert discussants. Selected papers will also be considered for publication in IMR, subject to author approval and successful completion of the journal’s review process.
IMRDC 2027 will feature invited talks, workshops, and panel discussions by eminent academics. Doctoral students whose papers are selected for final presentation will be awarded full IMRDC scholarships covering domestic air travel, accommodation, and hospitality for the duration of the conference. An IMRDC Best Paper Award will be conferred based on the recommendations of the Conference Chairs, discussants, and the Faculty Review Committee.
Past editions of IMRDC have seen participants go on to publish in leading academic journals and secure faculty positions at premier institutions in India and globally.

Eligibility
The conference is open to doctoral students who have commenced research on their theses.
Only one paper per student is allowed; while co-authorship with faculty is permitted, the paper must be presented by the doctoral student at the conference.
The paper should not have been published, or accepted for publication, in any academic journal.
Only full paper submissions will be considered. Papers should be submitted to https://imrdc2027.iimb.scholarit.net in the prescribed format.

The full paper submission should contain the title of the paper, the 200-word abstract, the keywords, and clearly outlined literature, methodology and results sections. The paper should be uploaded as a pdf file.
The paper, inclusive of tables, figures, references, and appendices, should be submitted as a single document and should not exceed 8,000 words.
References should be in APA style (The following link can be used for guidelines - http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/apa/ )
The paper must be formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font with double line spacing and 1" margin on all sides.
Authors must submit a nomination letter from the concerned thesis advisor/faculty member. The letter should comment on the contribution of the paper to the student’s research agenda, especially for students not at an advanced stage of their research. The nomination letter should contain the signature and affiliation details of the advisor, along with the official seal.
Submissions not following the above format will be desk rejected.
